15 killed, 24 injured in Mujahideen attacks in eastern Afghanistan

 NANGARHAR, June 19 – At least 6 policemen including an officer were killed and a further 7 were wounded after Mujahideen dismantled 2 posts and 1 base in Khogyani district of eastern Nangarhar province late yesterday night, while a puppet was killed and 5 more were wounded when Mujahideen ambushed the battalion of the reinforcements called in to the rescue of the enemy.

A tank part of the reinforcements was shot and destroyed with rocket fires, whereas Mujahideen seized from the enemy a good deal of arms and ammo.

On Monday, 3 enemy soldiers were killed in an exchange of fire with Mujahideen in Bati Kot district of the province.

Also Monday, 2 policemen were killed and 3 more were wounded with vehicle destroyed in a Mujahideen ambush attack in Jalalabad city, the capital of Nangarhar province.

In the province’s Hisarak district, Mujahideen shelled the headquarters of this district on Monday, killing an officer and leaving 3 Arbakis wounded.

According to reports from Ghani Khel district, Mujahideen targeted the district headquarters and a base last night, killing 6 puppets and leaving 1 injured, while a vehicle was also destroyed in Mujahideen attacks.

In another report from Nangarhar, 2 policemen and 3 Arbakis were wounded with vehicle destroyed after Mujahideen pounded the headquarters of Shirzad in the province on Monday.
