BAGHLAN, Aug. 15 – Al-Emarah News said Monday the Islamic Emirate’s Mujahideen have taken over the Dahana-e-Ghori district in Baghlan province after a three-day long siege.

Mujahideen had seized control of all the enemy combat posts and 4 bases, leaving dozens of the enemy soldiers dead and wounded over the last three days, while 33 puppets including soldiers of ANA, Arbakis and police had been taken captive prior to takeover of the district center.

Meantime, 15 enemy soldiers surrendered to Mujahideen with their arms and ammunition during the operation.

Similarly, Mujahideen captured from the enemy 12 military vehicles, 1 armored personnel carrier, 31 Kalashnikov machine guns, 4 PK (heavy antitank machine guns), 2 KPV 14.5 mm locally known as Zikoyak, 1 DShK (an antiaircraft vehicle mounted heavy machine gun), 1 mortar cannon and a great deal of various kinds of ammo the size of ten vehicles.

This comes as Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate gained control of the district of Want Waygal and 11 combat posts, leaving a great many Arbakis and soldiers of ANA dead and wounded.
