HELMAND, Aug. 02 – Reports from Nawa district of southern Helmand province state that Mujahideen assaulted a police check posts located in Semeti area midnight yesterday. Attack continued for 2 hours, during which towers of the check post were destroyed as well as causing serious casualties to enemy. Meanwhile a reinforcement convoy approaching the scene came under a Mujahideen ambush, destroying 2 APCs killing and wounding 14 gunmen abroad.
