14 killed, equipment seized as key base overrun in Helmand

HELMAND, May. 27 – Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate launched attacks on a strategic ANA base along Sangin road in Amanullah Karez area last night, amid ongoing Operation Mansouri.
Attacks of heavy and light arms continued till late night hours intensely, overrunning the said base, killing 14 puppets and leaving 4 others wounded while forcing the rest to flee leaving corpses behind as well as destroying an APC.
2 PKM machine guns, 8 rifles and sizable amounts of war tools were also confiscated in the operation.
