14 killed, 2 APCs and ranger destroyed as check posts stormed in Maiwand

KANDAHAR, Aug. 29 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Mansouri’, Mujahideen carried out coordinated assaults on 3 enemy centers that were built in civilian compounds in Chashmo area of Maiwand district overnight.
According to details, the gunfight continued for about one hour, resulting in 14 puppets killed, 2 APC and a ranger pickup destroyed.
4 PKM machine guns, 1 RPG launcher, 1 sniper gun, 2 rifles, 2 Kalashnikovs and other tools were taken as war booty.
A Mujahid is said to has been martyred in the operation.
