HERAT, Jan. 06 – Mujahideen carried coordinated attacks on enemy positions in Maldarak area of Shindand district overnight. Attacks of heavy and light arms lasted for about one and half hour, resulting in 3 police killed on the spot while 2 others seriously wounded. Meanwhile heavy clashes took place with enemy reinforcement arriving the scene, during which 3 APC were destroyed, killing 5 gunmen while leaving 3 others hurt.
