12 killed as 4 posts overrun in Patan, 2 detained

PAKTIA, Jun. 01 – Amid the ongoing Mansouri Operation, Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate launched coordinated attacks on enemy positions in Zerhi Tangi area of Patan district daybreak today.

The attack in which heavy and light weapons were used resulted in 4 check posts overrun, 12 gunmen killed with 5 corpses left behind, 10 others wounded and 2 more detained.

Officials say that 2 PKMs, 3 M4 rifles, a comm. radio and other equipment was seized in the operation, adding that 2 Mujahideen were also martyred by enemy fire (may Allah accept them).
