KABUL, Aug. 19 – The officials of the Islamic Emirate gathered today at the Ministry of National Defense to observe the 104th anniversary of Afghanistan’s liberation from the British occupation.

This important event saw the presence of Deputy Prime Ministers, cabinet members and esteemed Mujahideen.

During the ceremony, attendees were treated to a heartfelt message from the leader of the Islamic Emirate, Amir-ul-Mumineen Sheikh-ul-Hadith Mawlawi Hibatullah Akhundzada.

The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund in his speech, said that Afghanistan has several independence days. He noted the uniqueness of the independence day, akin to August 15th, and highlighted that certain nations, both regionally and globally, continue to oppose Afghanistan’s sovereignty, both openly and covertly.

To conclude the event, Mullah Baradar Akhund and Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, paid their respects at the Independence Minaret by laying a wreath on it with the special protocol of the Bandu Battalion.

Additionally, the Ministry of National Defense orchestrated a striking display as their aircraft and helicopters displayed the flag of the Islamic Emirate in the Kabul sky, showering the city with flowers and celebratory papers to mark this significant Independence Day.
