10 killed, 5 hurt; post overrun in Paktia

PAKTIA, May 9 – Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate seized a post in Gardiz city, the provincial capital of Paktia province on Tuesday.

At least 9 puppets were killed and 1 was hurt in the fighting, while Mujahideen seized form the enemy 1 PKM heavy machine guns and ammunition. Two Mujahideen also suffered injuries in the fighting.

The post is said to have been under Mujahideen siege for the last few days.

Early today, a puppet was killed and another one was wounded in an exchange of fire resulting from Mujahideen attack on a check post in Zurmat district of the province.

In another report, 4 puppets were injured in a clash with Mujahideen in Ahmad Khel district of the province on Monday.
