10 including commander slain as 2 check posts overrun in Garmsir, equipment seized

HELMAND, Aug. 07 – According to Latest reports from Garmsir district, Mujahideen carried out attacks on 2 enemy check posts in lakei area overnight, amid ongoing Omari Operation.
Bothe check posts were overrun after a firefight of one hour, killing 10 puppets including a hireling commander inside and forcing others to flee leaving 6 corpses behind on the battled ground.
2 PKMs, 1 RPG launcher, 3 AKs, 3 rifles, 1 pistol, 61 RPG rounds, 1800 ammos of PKM and AK and other war equipment was taken as war booty in the operation.
A Mujahid was also wounded during the gunfight.
It is mention able that 2 enemy posts were also overrun in Nawi district’s Khasar Abad area last night, seizing various war equipment and inflecting heavy casualties on hirelings.
